Solange Cesarovna, Cape Verdean singer, was considered by Italian critics as being “the owner of a beautiful voice, ambassador of peace, able to spread the culture of her country, with her vigorously and solar to be on stage, to the world”.

Born in Russia, in the city of Ulyanovsk, daughter of a Cape Verdean father and Russian mother, Solange comes to Cabo Verde when she is 2 years old. At the age of 7, she wins her first prize in the Pequenos Cantores Festival in the City of Mindelo, Cabo Verde, and represents the country in the Chaminé de Ouro Festival in Portugal. She is then invited to participate in one of the largest Cabo Verde music festivals in São Vicente: Baía das Gatas.

She studies at the Institute of Art and Media, at Fluminense Federal University, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she obtains a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication with specialization in Cinematic Arts. In the same city, she also attends Villa Lobos School of Music, where she does the classical and lyrical singing. She is currently a postgraduate in Collective Management and Copyright in Lusophony, by the Higher Education Institute of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lisbon.

In 2008 in Los Angeles, USA, she records her first album "Solange Cesarovna" at a well-known international Studio, "SkipSaylorStudios", where have been the most highly regarded artists from the United States and the world.

Rich and innovative, the album features several types of traditional Cape Verdean music and relies on the signature of the most notable composers of the country.

In 2009, she is invited to perform at the Vatican at the time of the Synod of African Bishops, thus becoming the first Cape Verdean singing at the Auditorium Della Conciliazione.

In 2011, at the invitation of an Italian Producer, she records in Italian Speranza, with the seal, partnership and distribution of RAI TRAIDE - Italian Radio Television.

Solange Cesarovna is the President of Cape Verdean Society of Music (SCM), elected unanimously in 2013. During her Presidency that in 2017 the SCM becomes part of the CISAC (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers).

2017 – Year of 150 years of Eugénio Tavares’ birth. On July 22 nd , Rua de Lisboa in São Vicente, was filled with people for the release of the album “Mornas”, with compositions only of the musician from Brava Island, patron of the National Day of Culture. Beautiful mornas of Eugénio Tavares, in the beautiful voice of Solange Cesarovna, when the country prepares its candidacy for Morna to the Cultural Immaterial Heritage of Humanity.
